Hello World

Hello everyone;



My name is Patrick Bland. I'm a senior Criminal Justice major at University of Southern Mississippi. I live in Jackson, Ms by way of Woodville, Ms. I first started college back in 1987 at Jackson State University and I so join the military that same year. Like the thousands of high school graduate that go off to college I was just glad to get away from home. I went to basic training in the summer of 87 and JSU in the fall. Being in college was a new experience for me. From meeting new people to getting to class on time I was in-charge of my life and it felt good. As time went along, I found myself more and more not going to class. I found every excuse in the book not to go to class from I forgot, I had something else to do to I can miss one class. I ended up dropping out of college for 19 years. I just started back last semester and everything is all new to me again.
As I said before I am in the military and I am Chief of Military Pay in finance at Camp Shelby. I oversee all of the finances for incoming and out going soldiers at Camp Shelby. I have to read and send out emails on a daily basic to get the mission done. My job depend on me giving my command written changes of finance regulations from DFAS. I enjoy writing email because I can write what I feel without it being in any type of format. I struggle with writing in a format setting and hope that this class can help me with my writing on a professional level.
